According to various media reports, OpenSea users lost hundreds of NFTs in a hacker attack. The source of the attack was initially unclear.
OpenSea CEO Devin Finzer responded via Twitter, “As far as we can tell, this is a phishing attack. We don’t believe it’s connected to the OpenSea website. It appears 32 users thus far have signed a malicious payload from an attacker, and some of their NFTs were stolen.”
The stolen NFTs had a worth of 1.7 million US Dollars, according to Finzer.
