Universal Music Group will release music-related NFT in the future. Fans will now be able to buy NFTs from labels such as Motown Records, Virgin Music or Def Jam Records. The background is not only the idea of creating another possibility of contacting fans, but also “generate new sources of income for artists in the post-pandemic world”, according to a press release.
